When it comes to chasing trout, the stillwater environment is one of the most exciting places to catch them, but having the right tool can make or break your day’s success…enter Echo’s Stillwater Fly Rod, a rod designed for pursuing anything from large cutthroat to small brookies. Designed with help from master stillwater angler, Pete Erickson, Echo’s Stillwater series of rods is designed to provide the lifting power needed to fish multiple fly rigs deep with the combined precision and delicate placement needed for casting dry flies to rising fish–think of this rod as the stillwater workhorse that fishes every fly in your box equally well. The Stillwater series comes in line weights 5 through 7 in 10’ models with an additional 6 weight 10’6” option; each of these options is equipped with a removable fighting butt and an assortment of weight rings to let you finetune the balance of your rod exactly how you like. With their extended length and performance-driven taper, these rods provide the necessary reach that can be crucial when fishing stillwaters environments. From fishing a large streamer on a fast sinking line to a series of chironomids in the middle of the water column, the Stillwater is a tool that you can use with confidence whether you’re casting from your float tube or making a few post-work casts while wading the local reservoir.

Ceramic Stripping Guides - Lightweight, durable, and as slick as it gets, the Ceramic stripping guides on the Stillwater prevent things from feeling bulky while providing excellent shootablity.

The stillwater angler is often faced with a journey, and whether that journey consists of a two-mile hike while dragging a canoe or a long drive to a remote string of ponds, Echo has your Stillwater Rod covered with a rod sock and fiberglass case.

As of August 2022, all Echo rods are covered by their warranty policy for the natural life of the rod for its original owner, wholly at the discretion of Rajeff Sports. The warranty for Echo rods is covered by a service fee, and/or if the rod is discontinued or non-repairable, Echo will offer an equivalent replacement at 50% of the MSRP. Echo’s warranty applies to any damage that occurs while on the water, so whether you’ve snapped your rod on the fish of a lifetime or the wind quickly changed direction while throwing a heavy stonefly, Echo has your back. However, Echo will not cover damages caused by general neglect, whether that be your rod getting closed in a car door or your dog using the cork as a teething ring.
